New UC Learning Center Dashboard Enhancement

UC Learning Center users will see an updated "Learner Dashboard" at login as of Dec 19, 2022

The Learner Dashboard is the landing page all users see upon logging into the UC Learning Center.

Whether you are staff, faculty, affiliate, student, or volunteer, its purpose is to provide an overview of your learning status, as well as actionable links. This change reflects a local update from an older legacy UC model to a newly designed, UCSF-tailored dashboard.

Feedback gathered

To gain a sense of what would be most helpful for this update, we:

  • Convened a focus group
of subject matter experts, Health & Campus managers, & employees
  • Surveyed best practices
    of leading learning centers
  • Mined our own user data
including popular web searches, knowledge base articles, & problem tickets

We heard users prioritize required training, favorites & personalized content recommendations, as well as navigational aid to desired areas of focus.
